I began playing piano and making up melodies when I was three years old. My influences began with classical music, film scores, the folk, rock, and soul of the 1960’s, and later, Jazz, Brazilian, Celtic and World Music. I had a few piano lessons when I was around 14, but mainly l’ve always played by ear and memory, creating and playing my own pieces. In later years I studied at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Over the decades, having had bands, created works for smaller groups, orchestral music, and playing a number of other instruments, I always come back to the piano.
